Elisvan Hernandez, PT, DPT
Elisvan Hernandez, “Ivan” is a doctor of Physical Therapy and director at Proactive Physical and Hand Therapy. After completing his doctoral work at Mercy College, Ivan began working for Proactive as a per diem therapist while a staff physical therapist at Montefiore Medical Center. He has received extensive training and is pursuing certification in functional manual therapy. Ivan has gained experience in orthopedics, geriatrics and pediatrics as well neurological conditions and spinal cord injuries while working in the outpatient, acute care and acute rehab settings and is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Ivan received certification as a Schroth Physical Therapist in the treatment of scoliosis
John O’Farrell, MS, PT, ATC
John is an experienced physical therapist, working extensively with the orthopedic population in private practice, pursuing continuing education in specialty manual therapy techniques. John is also an experienced, certified athletic trainer, working with athletes at the Division I College and professional minor league level. He is an active member of the New York Road Runners and has completed multiple marathons. He is currently training for the ING New York City Marathon.
Ann Marie Feretti, Adv. MS, OTR/L, CHT
Ann Marie is a certified hand therapist, and occupational therapist. She specializes in traumatic hand injuries, burns, and is experienced with repetitive stress injuries. Ann Marie is also experienced working with young children to develop their fine motor skills including hand writing and overall function in school.
Sijo Thomas PT, DPT
Having injured his leg as a teenager playing basketball, Sijo visited a physical therapist prior to considering surgery. The efficacy of the physical therapy sessions allowed him to make full recovery without a surgery and the infectious personality of the physical therapist convinced Sijo to pursue the profession and be able to similarly positively impact recovering patients.
Sijo received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of the Sciences and is licensed to practice physical therapy in New York. Sijo has gained valuable experience treating in various home care, skilled nursing facility and outpatient orthopedics settings while employing various manual techniques such as Trigger Point Release, soft tissue mobilization, PNF and kinesiotaping.
Sijo enjoys working out, playing his guitar and trying new exotic cuisines.
Mallory Lou PT, DPT
Mallory Lou received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Stony Brook University and is licensed to practice Physical Therapy in New York. She has 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric, SNF and outpatient private practice.
Mallory’s first love for physical therapy came about when she started volunteering at Binghamton Hospital. Although she was only observing and involved with with patient transport, Mallory was fascinated with the dedication, joy and interactions between patients and therapists and truly appreciates facilitating others' recovery helping individuals return to their prior level of function.
When Mallory Lou is not hard at work helping her patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, she can be found jogging/running, exploring nature, hiking and enjoying different types of cuisine.
